Day 1 March 27 Flying to London from Regina through Calgary

The security in the Regina Airport was an interesting experience for all, especially Victoria, who was the lucky winner of getting her bags swabbed down. :). We have arrived in London after a somewhat restful night in a chair. The weather looks good and we are looking forward to our first day of touring. The group from Waldheim that will tour with us sat with us on the plane. They seem like a good bunch to hang around with. Our orange jackets have already gotten us noticed in the airport. We feel a little like celebrities. We are just waiting for the group from Kipling. All is well!

* one little note: we only lost Jeanette and Leah for a few minutes today. Hopefully their buddies, Jack and Victoria, can keep better track of their charges.

Why are we doing this trip?

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness” – by Mark Twain

“The more you travel, the smaller this big world becomes” – Unknown

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel, read only a page” – St. Augustine

“If you are unsure of your actions, study world history and politics. Go travel. Don’t waste your time wondering and wishing.  Learn and then do” – W. Brett Wilson

Here is a beautiful example of our group jacket for the trip. We hope that by having such an eye-catching color and the national symbol, we will always be noticed in a crowd.
